Develop and teach customized seminars on fire and life safety code topics. Conduct plans review and site surveys for code compliance. Review and develop procedure manuals.

Charged with fire protection duties and emergency medical response, including but not limited to: pump operation, aerial operation, ground ladder work, forcible entry, hose line operations, vehicle extrication, rescue boat operation, and advanced life support functions.

Teach seminars nationwide and in Canada relating to plans review, automatic sprinkler systems, stationary pumps for fire protection, inspection, testing and maintenance of water based fire protection systems, and hydraulic calculation of sprinkler and standpipe systems.

Responsible for ensuring the preparation and maintenance of the task force equipment cache. Duties include coordinating the packaging, transporting, distribution, and maintenance of the equipment cache prior, during, and subsequent to mission assignments; coordinating with military and/or civilian officials for transportation needs; and procuring equipment as directed by the Logistics Team Manager. Responded with the RI team to Hurricane Katrina (2003) and the MA team for Hurricanes Ike, Hannah and Gustave (2008), as well as Hugo (2010).
