Brad Delson is the guitarist of Grammy-Award winning, multi-platinum rock band, Linkin Park. Brad played for various bands at Agoura High School before forming Xero with future Linkin Park bandmates Mike Shinoda and Rob Bourdon. Linkin Park has sold over 50 million albums worldwide, and is the biggest band on Facebook - with over 64 million fans and counting. In the span of time since 2000, when Linkin Park debuted on the Billboard 200 - no other artist has had more top 10 singles on the Alternative chart, and no other band has achieved more #1 albums this century. Their sixth studio album, The Hunting Party reached #1 in the iTunes store of 67 different countries.Brad attended UCLA as a Regent Scholar, where he met fellow LP member Dave Farrell. After graduating summa cum laude from UCLA in 1999, Delson decided to forgo law school in order to pursue a musical career with Linkin Park. In 2004, Delson and his family established the Delson Scholarship Fund at UCLA, which annually awards four-year scholarships to extraordinary students from Huntington Park. He was the keynote speaker at his alma mater UCLA's College of Letters and Science commencement ceremony on June 12, 2009, in Pauley Pavilion.In 2005, Brad and his bandmates founded Music for Relief, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing aid to survivors of natural disasters and supporting environmental programs as a means of disaster risk mitigation - including the planting of over 1 million trees to help reduce global warming.. The organization was recognized by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon for the Download to Donate program to raise funds and awareness in the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake. In recognition of its humanitarian work, Linkin Park received a 2011 Global Leadership Award from the United Nations Foundation.Recently, Delson co-founded Machine Shop Ventures, a venture capital fund that invests in early-to-growth stage, consumer-focused startups on a global scale.
