I have been in the outdoor education and interpretation field for eight years and have experience working with school age-students and teachers as well as members of the public. I have been a full-time supervisor with the Rockford Park District since 2021, and oversee educational programs, summer camp, and recreational snow park operation. These duties have strengthened my skills of team management, interdisciplinary communication, and program development. My training and experience as a certified interpretive guide (CIG) has improved my communication and public speaking in a broad sense which is essential for making connections between people and the local environment. I am also a sustainability intern with the Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens via Arizona State University, and will be graduating in 2022 with a BS in sustainable energy, materials, and technology.
