I graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering in April 2020.I have experience with Siemens NX, Autodesk Inventor, and SolidWorks CAD programs.I enjoy working on challenging projects and solving problems in new and interesting ways. -Assembled and worked with a team to develop and prototype a safety guard to help protect our operators from pinch points on the ravioli machines. Solicited feedback from operators, maintenance, and sanitation to develop a solution that works for everyone while providing a safety improvement for our employees.-Discovered a problem concerning quality of dough and how our current process was difficult for operators to follow. Aligned Quality Assurance, R&D, and Operations to agree on a prototype. Produced detailed plans of the prototype and conducted successful tests of the prototype. This solution was applied to all dough mixers.-Gathered information and designed a conversion for the spiral gearbox to transition from hydraulic power to electric power. This project eliminated the need to use the high horsepower hydraulic power pack (80 hp combined) and use a small direct drive electric gearmotor to power the spiral freezer (2hp). This resulted in significant energy savings and reduced maintenance. Detailed plans of the gearmotor mount and planning ahead of time made this project a success.-Managed a new production space expansion project by producing a detailed project schedule and communicating between Operations, Quality Assurance, and the sub-contractors throughout the planning and construction phases.
