I’m sure you’ve heard it before, but I’m a second-year Ph.D. student relentlessly passionate about making the world a better place. With work ranging from sociologically inspired design to avionics and from hydroponics to safety, I’m all about chasing down the different ways I can solve the next problem and make life easier and safer for people to live. This goal isn’t limited to just my research either, as I think one of the best ways to go about is through inspiring and helping others that come after you. In pursuit of that goal, I have worked through the veins of mentorship and outreach. I have mentored over a dozen undergraduates thus far in my career in areas ranging from industrial automation to forensics and rapid manufacturing to sustainable infrastructure. I also volunteer often with the College of Engineering and the Undergraduate Research Ambassadors to encourage, inspire, and help progress the research careers of hundreds of students over the past 4 years.My goal is to be a researcher who refuses to be shackled by the limits of today and an interdisciplinary investigator eager to hunt down any problem and solve it with a human factors-centric approach.
