I have recently accepted an exciting opportunity to work as a cook at Agricola Eatery in Princeton, New Jersey. This will allow me to expand my engagement with the food system through the exploration of my interest in the culinary arts and the restaurant industry.I was previously working as an intern on a small, diversified, organic farm in upstate New York, where I was involved in all aspects of growing 2 acres of organic vegetables and caring for chickens, turkeys, hogs, and grass-fed sheep and cows. I graduated in May of 2017 from Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University, where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Sustainability with a Sustainable Ecosystems concentration. I am particularly interested in the intersections between the food system and social justice, and I hope to contribute to positive sustainable change through the sustainable agriculture and professional culinary worlds.
