Group lead with the assignment to design and build a smoke detection and alarm system that facilitates wireless communication between devices.

• Responsible to ensure and oversee the safety and full operation of the Gereaux Island IRB station and assignment of related duties to maintain and routinely check vessel, engines and all first aid and safety equipment• Lead and coordinate a team to respond to any mayday or urgency call or any tasking by The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre.• Ensuring safe operations and a safe work environment for the team working in any weather conditions at any time of day or night• Plan and coordinate search and rescue training exercises• Primary resource first responder• Experience with Coast Guard search and rescue operations• Current experience with RHI/FRC operations• Keeping a clean and effective workspace and station• Public relations and promoting safe boating• Experience operating radar and telecommunications equipment
