-Within the Sensata Insights business unit Customer Operations group, lead a team of two mechanical engineers and three technicians focused on the customer use case for telematics+ products within specific applications, primarily in the Smart Trailer and Asset Management & Logistics segments (commercial transportation, material handling, etc.).-Sit at the intersection of customers, sales, project management and supply chain, coordinating efforts from POC to pilot to production launch and support regarding the mechanical and electrical integration of components onto assets.-Oversea and lead pilot efforts in the electrical/mechanical focus area, including the design, testing, prototyping, and mass manufacturing of brackets and harnesses. Develop BOMs for installations and coordinated supply chain and kitting efforts. Work with project management to support costing and cost-down efforts and new business quotations.-Coach and develop engineers and technicians in fulfillment of the group’s mission to be the “expert in the room” and internal customer on any topics related to the installation, service, or integration of Insights products onto vehicles and assets.-Travel as needed to provide discovery, installation, training, troubleshooting services at customer offices, field sites, and manufacturing plants.

-As part of Performance Sensing group, designed, built, and tested pressure sensors for automotive OEM/tier customers, primarily in transmission applications in North America, China, and Korea.-Worked with customers, marketing, and product family departments to propose designs for new business opportunities that met stringent technical and manufacturing requirements based on specific customer applications while complying with company standards to win selectively in powertrain and support business revenue growth OGPM.-Once said business was won, participated in a global team in support maturation of designs from concept through validation, plant trial, and PPAP. Coordinated closely with process team to ensure products were manufacturable, customer quality to ensure parts and documentation meet customer standards as well as FMEA/FUSA requirements, and suppliers to ensure parts were made consistent with design intent while meeting financial metrics. Supported customers with plant visits, audits, and process walks.-Developed validation plans prioritized to evaluate risks to proposed design, execute plan on schedule to key program milestones. Develop new tests or equipment when required by program risks or requirements.-Led junior engineers, co-ops, and interns as senior engineer on large project teams. Delegated subtasks based on priority and skill set; supported team members by meeting regularly to provide guidance and advice. Guided technician resources in the execution of a validation plan with clear requirements, documentation, and product knowledge, cleared logistical roadblocks and responded quickly to open technical issues.

-Execute effectively in a high pressure, fast paced, results oriented environment with engineers, mechanics, drivers, and management personnel to achieve maximum vehicle & human performance on the racetrack-Travel to all races, track tests, team tests to accurately document chassis setup changes, driver feedback, track conditions in computer database for 39 race weekends and 10+ tests each year.-Compile weekly reports summarizing pre-event 7-Post test data​: analyze key metrics enable to crew chief and race engineer make effective use of limited practice time, carry out same post-event to study effects of various chassis & shock configurations to try in future events.-Present weekly pre-event analysis of expected track conditions and vehicle speed change estimation to team leadership. Compile comprehensive weekly pre- and post-event binders for each race and test containing updated data from shock, aero, 7-post and R&D departments.-Work closely with pit crew and electronics engineer to implement pit stop air gun data analysis software (Labview) and hardware (sensors, daq box) to be used during races to establish if tire changers properly torqued wheel lugs to meet driver requirement and prevent a race ending event. -After each event use pit stop fueler helmet cameras to analyze and track fuel flow to measure effectiveness of fuel fill system; work with R&D engineers to test new concepts.-Communicate effectively with engineers, management, and mechanics to ensure desired vehicle changes are carried out as quickly as possible during practice sessions, qualifying, and races.-Maintain team spring, spring rubber & anti-roll bar inventory- seek to continuously improve weight savings and quality control by establishing standard rating procedures and working with component manufacturers

-Designed ground test equipment in Unigraphics NX in alignment with customer requirements and program deadlines to support validation testing of commercial jet engines. Performed FEA analysis in NX Advanced Simulation to ensure parts met department standards, drafted detail items and created assembly documentation.-Managed and coordinated outsourced labor teams related to assigned design tasks, namely FEA, drafting, and BoM creation. -Coordinated fabrication of designed components with vendors, worked with site contractors on test facility upgrades, supported operators in the assembly of designed components.-ACE Associate, use learned skills to contribute to and improve department standard work and procedures

Self-employed, provided track data analysis, vehicle preparation, & race day operations support to customer race teams in Grand-Am and NASCAR Regional Series.

-Worked in shop after day job and on weekends, traveled with team to races, assisted with shock and gearbox rebuilds, prepped parts for paint, general car preparation and repair.-Analyzed data in Motec i2 Pro at track; was responsible for tracking channels such as overrevs/RPM, water/oil temp, lambda, battery voltage etc. throughout practices and qualifying to ensure engine and data system was healthy for race.-Pit support during pit stops: sign board, tire catcher, fire bottle, etc.

Operated milling machines and lathes to fabricate components out of steel, plastic and aluminum for graduate research projects.
