Managed the firm’s portfolio of strategy projects with a focus on long-range strategic planning, short-range action planning, resource allocation, and performance evaluation and optimization. Clients included health systems, government agencies, and large nonprofits.Representative projects:-Developed 5-year strategic goals, objectives, and action areas to prepare a regional Healthcare system for the new insurance and payer landscape. Formerly a provider of last resort, the organization shifted to attract new clients as Medicaid and private insurance coverage expanded in the region. Developed new systems to evaluate services and show positive outcomes for accountable care. Activities included planning and facilitation of a 3 day strategic planning retreat, facilitation of working groups and project evaluation/reporting.-Created a new strategic plan for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Veteran’s Health Administration Chief Communication Officer to improve internal and external communications across 180 medical centers and 20 regional networks. Analyzed existing processes for gaps and risks through data analysis, 27 interviews, and multiple working groups with VHA communications professionals and medical executives. Developed recommendations for process improvement, created communication objectives, and identified information system requirements that resulted in increased efficiencies across the medical centers and regional health care networks.
