About Brad Grantham
I can guide engineers, write code, set priorities and delegate tasks, sit on an industry standards working group, collect and write product and technical requirements, and drive roadmaps. The original designer of my current project left in May 2021. I was asked to take it over. I've grown our client base from 2 engineers for 1 client to 12 engineers for 7 clients, guiding several unfinished and new features to completion.I've specialized in OpenGL, Vulkan, GPUs, shaders, and C/C++, but I'm open to lots of possibilities. I'm conversational in Python and git (command-line git, Gitlab, and Github). I can get by in Javascript and embedded programming. In just the past few years, I’ve specialized in taking over projects that urgently need leadership. I lead a group of 12 other engineers dealing with 7 prominent contract partners. I’ve presented the GFXReconstruct (https://github.com/LunarG/gfxreconstruct) Vulkan capture and replay tool to developer groups (https://youtu.be/XwbiKwqrqHo). I’ve reviewed PRs, written new features, and designed interfaces, drafted architectural principles, and authored the technical roadmap. In previous positions, I wrote C++ and OpenGL ES shaders to process deep learning inference data on both a silicon GPU and a simulator. I wrote a RISC-V implementation in Verilog to be the base of a GPU shader core (https://github.com/bradgrantham/alice5). I've written C++ on bare-metal microcontrollers. I've designed and built a board with touchscreen and gyroscope chips and written the C to read them on Linux over I2C. I've written Python code to collate GPU simulation performance statistics. I've written a CPU and platform simulator in C++. I'd like working with Vulkan and/or rendering and/or GPUs.
Listed skills include Opengl, C++, Linux, Software Engineering, and 36 others.
