Owned technical roadmap and delivery of patient-facing iOS and Android mobile apps for Dignity Health's "my care" brand of services. Accountable for translating feature roadmap into an agile-based delivery plan leading two teams of mobile application developers. Lead revamping of app codebase and engineering processes achieving nearly weekly incremental delivery of capabilities. Provided enterprise-wide co-management of iOS and Google Play app stores.

Mobile architect assisting Dignity Health with their suite of iOS and Android mobile apps. Focused on documenting app and back-end architectures in addition to consulting on architectural designs for new app features.

Providing strategic input to CEO on product strategy and capability roadmap. Assisting the CEO with numerous executive and sales presentations, especially to customer in China. Helped in the pivoting of the company's focus from consulting services to cloud migration technologies. Provided mentoring to more junior members of the executive staff.

Lead Microsoft IT's efforts related to accelerating deliver of line-of-business (LOB) app delivery on Windows Phone along with management of Microsoft's corporate "app store". Delivered a .net-based mobile app accelerator which reduced development time for corporate mobile LOB apps. Developed a "company app store" called Apps4Work to make discovery of Windows Phone LOB apps easier for employees. Implemented a mobile app publishing process, call IT Dev Center, which reduced app publishing time from 6 weeks to 15 minutes. Delivered a mobile app deep linking service (LinkShare) allowing LOB app team to promote adoption of their mobile apps via web-based hyperlinks. Co-managed an Avanade-based service to help team plan, develop and launch mobile LOB apps. Managed reporting of mobile app portfolio adoption and usage to CIO. Managed offshore teams in China and Finland.

Lead the planning, development and delivery of the mobile web version of m.microsoft.com, microsoft.com feedback and video services, aka.ms URL shortener, and SMS mobile marketing platform. Managed offshore teams in India and China.

Assisted in developing the strategic vision for Microsoft's next generation of Product Key and Product Activation technologies (PID 2.0). Co-pitched the project to Microsoft IT's CIO. Project was approved and delivered.

End-to-end engineering ownership of Microsoft's Windows Genuine Advantage project, which was cornerstone to Microsoft's effort to reduce software piracy. Provided initial project vision and evolved project from incubation to a substantial worldwide, publicly visible effort. A key achievement in the project was large scale data analysis to help identify and target sources of counterfeit Microsoft products. These insights lead to better worldwide enforcement of intellectual property rights and the shutting down of numerous sources of counterfeit products; all of which helped increase Microsoft revenues. I pitched, got funded, and delivered Microsoft's first online eCommerce store selling Windows legalization products with revenue > $250M. I personally provided leadership and management to ~130 employees and contingent staff worldwide.

Helped found and then managed engineering for a forward-thinking incubation "Managed PC" service within Windows organization. Project ultimately evolved into Windows Security Center focused on helping consumers better manage the security of their Windows PC.

End-to-end engineering oversight of Windows' crash reporting (i.e., Send Error Report) and feedback systems. This service provided Windows management their first true insight into quality issues with Windows XP. Performed data analysis and advised broader Windows engineering organization on prioritizing key fixes to reduce overall app crashes. These efforts ultimately achieved a ~50% reduction in app crashes.

Oversaw engineering efforts for various Windows "Management" capabilities. This included the engineering onboarding of NetIQ technology which became System Center Operations Manager (SCOM). I was also responsible for the delivery of Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) services and the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) UX. Provided strategy roadmap input to the VP of Windows Management including presentations to Jim Allchin and Bill Gates.

Reported directly to VP of Windows Management with end-to-end ownership of Windows' Remote Desktop (i.e., Terminal Services) capabilities. Lead the effort to evolve the service from a server-only capability by adding the feature to Windows XP for remote PC access - which was one of Windows XP's differentiating features. Ensured the service was compliant with DOJ ruling by leading the effort to document and publish the Remote Desktop Protocol standard. Lead a team of ~40 full-time developers, test and program managers.

For Windows 2000 owned the integration of Terminal Server, Remote Login, capabilities into the server SKU version. Participated in daily Windows "war room" meetings. Managed a team of a ~20 software engineerings. Helped launch Microsoft's thin-client reference platform, called Windows-based Terminals, in conjunction with the Windows CE Platform team.

Lead the integration of the acquired Terminal Services capabilities from Citrix Systems "WinFrame" product to Microsoft. Responsible for onboarding Citrix code to Microsoft source management systems and establishing daily builds of product. Developed and launched an "open source" based Terminal Service enforced licensing SDK. Stepped up to own product setup and product branding capabilities. Supported our legal and business teams in meeting Microsoft obligations under the Citrix contract; and holding Citrix accountable for their deliverables.

I was a developer working on the Windows Manager component of Windows NT. Porting the Win95 variation of Alt+Tab to the NT Kernel was one of my first programming assignments. In addition I did extensive application compatibility debugging and helped port the Windows Manager to the kernel for NT 4.0.

I was promoted and wound up working on porting our MGE products from CLIX to Windows NT. In addition I worked on MGE VistaMap which was a windows-based GIS Viewing tool. I owned the porting of the MGE library, database connectivity, clipboard integration, and the user interface for various components of the product.

I was hired by Intergraph as a developer to work on the MGE Segment Manager product. I worked on the first several versions of that product as well as contributed to the overall internal MGE library.

I founded Realcom Systems to publish computer software I was writing. This included Grade Book, Real Estate Rental Management, and Hurricane tracking software. The software was published, marketed and sold nationwide. This was during the days when the Computer Shopper magazine was based in Titusville, FL.
