Over 30years in major construction and social infrastructure development. A commercially astute strategic thinker with a diversity of experience across both the private and public sectors from the different perspectives of contractor, consultant, property trust executive, local government director and with international experience, providing a breadth and depth of insight and capability. In the private sector, I commenced my career with Tier-1 building contractor Concrete Constructions Ltd working on CBD high-rise projects and later Sydney Airport, then a brief period with Singapore contractors before moving eventually to client-side project management roles. I was a senior manager of a high-growth project management firm Incoll, development manager for listed property trust Capcount and ultimately established my Sydney Projects Pty Ltd professional services firm. The range of private sector project types I’ve worked on includes high-rise office and office park, hotel, retail, industrial and airport infrastructure, typically over $100m+ in value.In the public sector, I was a Director at the City of Sydney Council. Subsequent roles included contract engagements with Parramatta, Warringah and Blacktown Councils. In local government I have developed mostly social infrastructure projects including sports-related complexes, master planning, heritage and civic buildings and public spaces, aquatic centres, library’s, environmental, recreation, underground carparks and civil infrastructure up to $100m in project value and gained a solid understanding of procurement processes, governance and probity in the public sector.I'm an experienced programme director and project director, having worked through the full project life-cycle from brief development, feasibility, business case and master-planning, through delivery strategy and procurement to contract administration and dispute negotiation on large projects and effective close-out processes. I particularly enjoy front end roles where some creative thinking is needed and the strategy is still to be defined. I have a capacity to set direction and to think through project requirements from first principles to develop appropriate solutions and control systems.
