About Brad Hise
I am passionate about educating and empowering people living with diabetes to find balance in their unique lifestyle and health management. As someone who lives with type-1 diabetes, I believe I have a strong connection with patients to make a positive difference in their lives. I have well-rounded experience to help others overcome any hurdles that diabetes presents in keeping them from their dreams. I became a FNP after 7 years of experience working as a diabetes nurse specialist to expand the difference I can make upon those living with diabetes. My long-term goal is to broaden that specialization to care for patients with other endocrine diagnoses in the outpatient setting. I coordinate an insulin support group for those with diabetes that meets once per month in the Twin Cities area.As a T1D, I have traveled the around the globe (27 countries on 4 continents) learning how to manage diabetes in many peculiar & adverse situations. Whether this means 100ft underwater, hang gliding 3000ft in the sky, or 18,000ft high in the Himalayas, I have found ways to achieve my dreams without being limited by my diagnosis. My passion and personal experience bleeds into my work and helps me to empower & inspire others living with diabetes to navigate around obstacles that stop them from following their dreams.
