My team was responsible for interacting with external APIs (E.g. Facebook, Twitter) and storing data from those external sources while also providing a central set of internal APIs for other software in our product suite to use. Our focus was on collecting social data as well as distributing business data to the web and maintaining a task scheduling infrastructure.When Vendasta switched to Large Scale Scrum (LeSS), my responsibilities broadened significantly. I worked on a team to develop features everywhere in our product suite: development infrastructure, back end, and front end. We made heavy use of pair and mob programming.I was later assigned as a co-lead on an team of 4 new hires to build an integration with an external API.Finally, I joined a team of 4 experienced developers to contribute to a greenfield project where we used Go microservices, Angular and an Event Sourcing model (new to Vendasta at the time) to build a data aggregation tool which generated statistics by funneling data and events from several external sources.

I created a photo-sharing and blogging website from the ground up using HTML, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript (and JQuery), CSS3 and other technologies. I also developed a Flash plugin to allow users to upload photos via their webcams.I was the sole employee for Boothi.ca and managed all of the financial, technical, branding and infrastructure concerns of the website.In the process of developing the Android app for Boothi.ca, I became familiar with the process of setting up Tomcat servers, Jenkins (Hudson) and Maven.

I was a GUI developer using JavaFX and NASA WorldWind libraries. I was also responsible for developing many of the mutable "client side" object models in Java to match our clients' domain models.

I installed car stereos, remote car starters, and essentially any 12V car accessories. I also fabricated custom subwoofer, speaker, and source unit enclosures using wood, fiberglass, and plastic. I still have a passion for audio and fabrication (ask me about the desk I built) and am well versed in the technical jargon and science of the industry. I also dealt one-on-one with my clients, and became skilled at resolving conflicts and presenting compromises.
