As a small-business owner / operator, I take a lot of pride in working hard, building high quality relationships and making a positive difference in the world by helping people with my experiences, education and strong work ethic.

For the Step2 Company LLC, I coordinated export shipments, attended three toy industry trade fairs and played a key role in successfully implementing the Mexico Warehouse program.

Import and Export shipments play a strong role in our economy and inour daily lives. As International Sales Executive for the Cleveland office of Phoenix International I achieved superior sales results by initiating new business relationships with companies in Northern and Central Ohio. These companies then as a result of my new business development efforts used the import, brokerage, insurance, breakbulk, export and other international logistics related services the company offered. In October of 2006, I successfully coordinated an Import/Export Seminar in Middleburg Heights that had over 100 people in attendance. I was the Master of Ceremonies for that event.

My experiences as a Marketing Associate with SYSCO Food Services of Cleveland involved working with independent restaurants, day care centers and non-profit food service operations in Downtown Cleveland, The Near West Side of Cleveland and parts of Lorain County. A large component of my business was working with Hispanic related businesses where my ability to speak Spanish played a large role in my success in establishing and maintaining healthy working relationships. In in all, my efforts yielded me sixty-two consecutive weeks of double-digit positive sales growth.

As International Sales Manager for CAD Professional Microphones, I also played a strong role with export sales for Astatic CB and Valor Communications. The company at the time had a maquiladora operation in Guadalajara, Mexico where I assisted with translation and company communications. In addition to managing Independent Distributors throughout the world, I brought the company a total of seven new distributors in countries outside of the United States. The new distributor relationship in Mexico I initiated and cultivated involved me developing a sales training manual in Spanish where I then traveled to a trade show in Mexico and train the Distributor's marketing staff on the product in their own language.

Initially, I started work with Summit Racing in their Entry Level Phone Sales Department where I received training on high performance automotive parts and accessories along with working to help clients find the right gear for their car. My total time in the Entry level department was ten months. From there, I was then promoted to the Senior Phone Sales Department and shortly after that I was selected to work in the Spanish Department. In the Spanish Department, I received on average eighty-five inbound calls a day in Spanish from customers all over the Spanish Speaking World to include Spain, Mexico, Argentina and Puerto Rico. The majority of the clients were from Puerto Rico. During my employment, I was recognized for my accuracy in selecting the correct parts for clients that resulted in very few returns along with high customer satisfaction.

After completing recruit training, the school of infantry and engineer equipment operator school, I entered the Selected Marine Corps Reserve. My unit was located on the Air Force Reserve Base in Vienna, Ohio. There I served as a Marine Corps Reservist from March 1995 to June of 2000. My duties included operating heavy equipment for various community projects such as the construction of soccer fields, volunteer work with Toys for Tots along with acting as Squad Leader and Assistant Armorer.
