Visiting LecturerCalifornia College Of The Arts Jan 2013 - May 2013I co-taught an Advanced Architecture studio, titled "LITTORAL DRIFT: Strategies for the Coastal Fringe." The goal was to help small coastal communities with limited resources develop design responses to the social and environmental impacts of sea level rise. Our focus was the beach community of Pacifica, CA. Specifically, This studio imagined an expanded, 21st century role for the fire station and designed new models to serve towns like Pacifica both in times of disaster and non-disaster.The studio was developed in conjunction with an advisory group drawn from the Pacifica Planning Department, San Mateo County Fire Department, San Francisco Planning + Research Association (SPUR), the Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC), Hodge Arts in Half Moon Bay, and others. -
