This helped me excel in a variety of managerial positions across the retail and leisure industries, where I've learned how to stay calm under pressure, make quick decisions, work well with others, and adapt my communication style to meet the needs of those I'm working with.I've had a lot of success in roles ranging from Departmental Supervisor to Area Manager, and I've had the opportunity to work on some really interesting projects along the way.For example, at Homebase, I was seconded into Head Office to work on two important projects: the installation and training of a SAP-based Workforce Management system, and the analysis and presentation of project work being undertaken by Retail Operations. These roles provided exposure to multiple departments, stakeholders, and contractors. They were also instrumental in developing my ability to understand, engage with and influence different business functions.Currently, I'm an Area Manager with Booker Wholesale, the nations largest wholesaler and a key part of the Tesco Group of companies. Over the past five years in my current area: I have achieved five green audits for Health, Safe & Legal, improved customer satisfaction from 81% to 90%, increased revenue by 48% and profit by 75%.I’ve built up extensive experience managing teams both on site and remotely from the field, and I am not intimidated by the challenge. In my current role, I oversee a mobile Catering Development Manager, a mobile Retail Development Manager, and a local Branch Manager. Together, we ensure that all key customer support metrics are met. This involves providing guidance to account holders on topics such as site location, local property availability, suggested menu offerings, pricing, product suitability, recruitment, training and more.I’m required to be mobile across all postcodes within Bedfordshire and am responsible for 5,000 accounts. I also serve as the local liaison for National Account Customers. In this role, I’m responsible for establishing and developing both new and existing business. I also maintain oversight of Health, Safe & Legal, customer satisfaction, cash profit, sales, shrink, property costs, and people.
