I am currently a Lead Line Check Pilot on the A-320 fleet at Delta air Lines. In this role, I oversee a team of Line Check Pilots, and I am involved in the recruiting, interviewing and hiring of A-320 Line Check Pilot candidates. As a LLCP, I am responsible for mentoring other Flight Standards pilots, and authorized to conduct PIC observations for first time Captains in place of an FAA inspector. In addition, I am tasked with training non-qualified pilots, completing OE certifications, conducting Line Check evaluations, conducting SAQ, TQ and Theater Familiarization Events and conducting Mid-Phase validation events on Delta First Officers. In addition, I am one of the facilitators for the Delta Air Lines Captain Leadership Course. This course is now being facilitated to all new Delta Air Lines Pilots awarded a Captain advance entitlement, prior to OE / Simulator training. I have been with Delta since 1998, and have flown the B-737, B-727, B-757/767, MD-88 and A319/320/321. I have worked for the Delta Air Line Pilots Association in Scheduling, Contract Administration, and the Communications Committee. Prior to Delta, I worked at Trans World Airlines (1993-1998) flying as a Flight Engineer / FE LCA and a copilot on the MD-82/83. Previous experience at Mesaba Airlines as a copilot on the SA-227 and DHC-8.
