I serve as the Engineering Lead for a top 3 global financial customer and largest remoted managed financial customer at SAS, supporting day-to-day operations of the environment in aspects of infrastructure, software architecture, networking, security, and solution implementation. I am leading requirement’s gathering, architectural design, implementation, and delivery strategy for Viya 4 in readiness for the customer’s desired future-state: Viya 4 on Red Hat’s OpenShift (RHOCP) Kubernetes.Through collaboration with customer and SAS personnel, I diagnose and resolve system problems, and identify and implement system and product enhancements. Additional leadership responsibilities include working collaboratively to drive innovation; identifying and implementing new products, enhancements, and integrations which improve customer quality, efficiency, and control. I have had exposure to Azure, Amazon, and Google cloud-platform Kubernetes and have deployed and maintain a RHOCP cluster. I routinely create and maintain documentation, such as knowledge base documents, and development tools to expedite and make repeatable various tasks, such as scripts in languages like Python and Bash, SAS-internal consulting tools, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated resource provisioning.I have deployed SAS 9.4, 9.4 GRID, Viya 3.5, and Viya 4 environments, including features such as hypervisors and virtualization (virtual machine provisioning and imaging), LDAP, networking (HAProxy, Keepalived, DHCP), and high availability (continuity of business/disaster recovery systems, clustered architectures). I am certified in deployment and implementation of SAS 9.4.Experienced with RHEL, CoreOS, CentOS, and Ubuntu operating systems, and have deployed application container technologies (Docker) and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes - Azure, AWS, Google, OpenShift). Coding languages and technologies include SAS (Base, CASL, SWAT), Python, Unix (SH, Bash, Korn), Ansible, Terraform, YAML, Java, C++, Ruby, Rails, Perl, SQL and Web Development (HTML, Java Servlets, JQuery, JavaScript, CSS, JSP's, JavaBeans, POJO). I graduated Cum Laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a BS in Computer Science, concentration in Cyber Security and Mathematics minor.
