I am experienced in research with a PhD in Inorganic and Organometallic Chemistry from McMaster University (2015) and Post-Doctoral research experience in: (1) f-element coordination chemistry (i.e. uranium and neptunium) at the University of Edinburgh, UK (2015-2019); (2) Materials Chemistry, investigating semiconductor photocatalysts for Solar Disinfection (SODIS) of drinking water at the University of Edinburgh, UK (2020); and (3) Nano Chemistry, developing new copper-containing nano-catalysts for carbon dioxide capture and hydrogenation at the University of Oxford, UK (2020-2023). I have strong communication skills, exemplified by 14 oral and 10 poster presentations at various Chemistry conferences, 4 invited seminars at various academic institutions, 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks, and by securing funding through the UK Catalysis Hub, ScotCHEM, NSERC (PDF and PGS-D) and OGS via written research proposals. Finally, I have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, as demonstrated in my teaching at the University level, participation in chemistry-related Public Outreach events, and supervision of undergraduate, MChem and PhD students in an academic research lab and for industrially funded projects.
