I worked 7 years heavy highway and then pipeline for the last 5 years and I hope to stay in pipeline.

I was the Straw boss on the grade cutting or Right of Way crew. I was in charge of getting all supplies needed for each day as well as fueling up and starting and cleaning each piece of equipment on our crew. I was also the one in charge of the laborers, which meant driving them where they were needed and making sure they completed the tasks each day. I would normally offset all ditch line stakes daily. Then we dropped back and did the cleanup on the job.

Straw boss on the primary environmental crew for this 19 mile job. This job consisted of installing Super silt fence, 18" filter sock, installation of mat bridges at creek and wetland crossings, straw bales and curlex. Then we had to go thru and reinstall every creek and wetland crossing on finalization with curlex, seed and straw. Then winterize the last 9 miles using a Marooka with attached straw blower. I was in charge of getting and maintaining all supplies needed each day. Driving some of the crew to the job, 90 minutes from the main yard, daily as long as making sure our crew finished all the tasks planned by the foreman each day.

I was the straw boss for the Right of Way crew. I was in charge of getting the tools, supplies and crew ready for each day.
