I am now in charge of the training for the whole restaurant which includes all management, this is around 120 staff members. I also ensure that the training team are up to date on the training grades and what needs to be completed on a weekly basis. I also inform them if they are hitting targets. I am also in charge of ensuring that every new member of staff is fully health and safety trained as well as inducted to the business knowing all aspects of the restaurant and ensuring that they are coping with the pressures of the job. I am also an apprentice crew trainer which basically means that I run a program in which new employees or existing employees can expand their knowledge of the business whilst earning an NVQ Level 2 in hospitality. This can become complicated if work is left undone but keeping a diary and a track of all progress made by the learners breaks the work load down.
