Brad Moggridge is from the Kamilaroi Nation (N-W NSW) and grew up in western Sydney and now lives in Canberra. He has uni qualifications in Science PhD from Uni of Canberra, an MSc in hydrogeology from UTS and a BSc in environmental science from ACU, he also has been awarded the 2019 CSIRO Indigenous Career STEM Award, 2017 ATSI Community Alumni award from ACU and Alumni of the IWC Water leadership program 2015, a Fellow of the Peter Cullen Trust Science to Policy Leadership 2018.Brad has an ambition of leading in his area of expertise and also promoting Aboriginal Traditional Knowledge and finding commonalities between Traditional Science and Western Science so this can influence policy and the way we manage the Australian landscape.He is a Board member of the NSW EPA and Biodiversity Council and current President of the Aust Freshwater Science Society. He was part time Indigenous Liaison Officer for Threatened Species Recovery Hub under NESP 2017-2021. He was also NSW DPI Water’s Team Leader Aboriginal Water Initiative which was the only dedicated Aboriginal water unit in Australia between 2012-2017. Previously was with CSIRO Land and Water as the only Indigenous Water Research Specialist between 2008-2012.Brad won the 2013 Mens Australian Indigenous golf champion at Federal Golf Club. He has presented at the Australian Academy of Science, also the International Association of Hydrogeologists 40th World Congress 2013, was invited to attend the Wentworth Group of Concerned Scientists MasterClass 2013.He has significant networks in the water and environmental area, Government and ongoing relationships with the broader Aboriginal community.
