I'm an information relay with a passion for the public.I'm currently studying for a Master of Information at the University of Toronto, with a concentration in Library & Information Sciences.I've freelanced as a versatile news reporter who enjoys sifting through data to find the stories behind the statistics. I have also worked as the PR Coordinator for a Toronto-based non-profit, Reach Out Together, dedicated to bringing forward both the professional and the everyday stories about mental health and to promoting and connecting others to a variety of mental health initiatives.I have a keen interest in academic study of all levels of politics, but I believe work at the community level is key for social change addressing issues such as poverty and mental health. This drives my passion for volunteer work, for journalism, and now for the public service that libraries provide. I believe communities work best when they're informed. I want to bring academic knowledge and community voices together.I also have a fun side, with interests ranging from science-fiction to chess to heavy metal.
