According to Google search, magic (as a noun) is "the power of apparently influencing the course of events by using mysterious or supernatural forces." But how does that differ from much of modern technology? Computers, much of physics, and other fields of science are certainly mysterious. You could argue that modern technology relies on decidedly natural, as opposed to supernatural forces. But at that point, the only thing keeping us from declaring that magic (in the form of modern science and technology) is real is that it is not real by definition (which seems a bit silly to me)That's all to say that as far as I'm concerned magic is real, and I want to become a modern magician. This pursuit has given a sense of purpose to the thousands of hours I've spent studying and exploring. And it's what attracted me to my current job as Skdyio.Namely, the work of Skydio always reminds me a lot of "The Sorcerer's Apprentice": where the apprentice animated a broom to do his work for him, Skdyio builds and animates drones to do work for others. It's simultaneously bringing about the future and fulfilling dreams of magic.
