While working at Chappell Builders, I was proud to share my practical experience with Construction Management students at UniSA's School of Natural and Built Environments. I conducted weekly lectures with Second and Third-year students on a range of topics including Construction Technology, Construction Engineering and Construction Management.

Responsible for overseeing all day-to-day activities within the company ensuring that the results delivered meet the service, quality and productivity expectations of our strategic plan including (but not limited to): ● Procurement: reviewing tender opportunities; approving tender bids.● Project Delivery: project scheduling; monthly project financial and delivery review; client relationship management; project stakeholder management.● Subcontractor Management: building relationships and reviewing performance of subcontractors; investigating new technologies and products with trade partners. ● Sales & Marketing: business development; client management; determining corporate social responsibility engagements; public speaking.● General Management: human resource management of all personnel including performance management; control and review of budgets covering all areas of the business; reporting to a Board of Management.

During my time at CFI I learnt valuable skills in teamwork, OH&S, tool handling (hand and power), quality management and general construction. The role fundamentally consisted of fabrication and installation of joinery in a variety of commercial applications.
