I worked on the streaming analytics, automation, and APIs that IoT leaders like AT&T, GE, Tesla, Uber, GM, and Allstate use daily for app, messaging and connectivity data that created new mobile and IoT revenue models. Cisco acquired Jasper as the foundational platform for their IoT business.

AVIDwireless, a Connected World 100 award winner, focused on enterprise grade IoT data solutions for customers like Hess, Ericsson, Worthington Industries, and Numerex. Started as a board advisor, then invested and joined AVID as CEO in July 2012 to help shift focus to Industrial IoT sensors and data solutions. The AVID M2MFramework and Gateway were an advanced IoT data agent and SaaS data and event analytics on a common Java platform. IoT MVNO Numerex (NASDAQ: NMRX) acquired AVIDwireless in 2013.

The Zebek SaaS platform enabled corporations to offer a highly personalized mobile-first marketing and brand experience. Our data-driven mobile analytics provided advanced location and context-aware relevancy services supporting iPhone and Android. I directed the Agile development, and deployments at customers like American Express and Clear Channel, and was co-inventor on multiple patent claims. Great IP, but we never got enough market traction. The Zebek platform was acquired by Quewey in 2011. We continued the patent filings, which were sold in 2012.

I was President and CEO until 2006 when GRS, a start-up provider of wireless M2M monitoring, safety, and optimization solutions for railroads, grew sales and first achieved profitability. After our VC funding, I directed our operational expansion and technology implementation as COO. GRS was acquired by multinational Vossloh AG (Xetra:VOS). Our patented software and systems delivered $1 billion+ worth of IoT ROI to a global customer base.

I was the 9th employee at Enfin, a start-up in the nascent Object Oriented development market. The product's success at companies like Sprint and Met Life led to an alliance with IBM, and our acquisition by Easel Corporation, a public competitor. There, I effected the IP transfer of Smalltalk and BI class libraries, and started Easel's Object Technology SE practice. Fun fact - Easel was the home of the first Scrum, which tied nicely into the OOAD work with Enfin's Smalltalk!
