International Directors are carefully selected from a pool of highly-qualified, well-traveled, passionate educators who seek a fulfilling summer experience abroad. We collaborate with the host country resources to facilitate a unique experience around the ideas of service-learning, cultural immersion, and adventures that excite the minds of young entrepreneurs, thrill seekers, and humanitarians. While the position occurs during the summer months, we provide students with a 24 hours, 7 days a week support through programming, check-ins, various opportunities to learn new skills, and time to introspect and reflect on the daily trials and tribulations. • Work with International Mentors, host country Program Directors, and local resources to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for minors• Manage a 24/7 on-call rotation with 3-5 other full-time staff• Create opportunities for students to become fully immersed in their host culture while reflecting on what it means to be a visitor as well as a leader• Support student development skills based on the foundation of their value-systems and their penchant for leadership through the Five Pillars of Leadership of GLA• Communicate with State-side staff and parents from around the world regarding timely updates• Evaluate host country staff and GLA staff in an End-of-Summer report

As an Assistant Director of University Housing, I specifically worked with the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College, the College of Health Solutions, the Schools for the Future of Innovation and Society, and upper division housing in creating a welcoming, inspiring, and developmental environment within the Residence Halls for first year students, upper division students, and graduate students. • Managed the first opening of a $120 million, 7-story, 1,600 bed space, two classrooms, and 2-story dining hall complex and continued management of the housing operations during the full year• Supervised five full-time master’s holding professionals and two full-time administrative staff• Evaluated all full-time staff annually and provide feedback weekly to ensure expectations are met• Provided leadership and management to three Residential Colleges• Collaborated with university partners such as counseling, health services, study abroad, campus police, etc. to support student development within the halls• Coordinated with private partnerships such as American Campus Communities and Aramark• Supported the launch and distribution of 1,600 Amazon Echo Dots in partnership with Amazon, the University Technology Office, and academic partners• Served as professional staff on-call for afterhours emergencies and crisis situations for 14,000 residents• Created online manual for entry level, master’s holding professionals• Advised the National Residence Hall Honorary, Chapter of the Maroon and Gold• Recruited entry and mid-level professionals by sitting on the recruitment committee, hosting, and interviewing a number of different candidates to fill approximately 15-20 positions annually• Supported housing operations through using StarRez• Adjudicated higher level conduct within the residence halls• Managed a programming budget of approximately $80,000
