I am the liaison for our Sterling OMS System. Responsibilities include interfacing with bussiness interests, management and our developer teams, to satisfy operational and bussiness requirements. Ensure the integrity of the Application stack, and coordinate continuous improvements. I have been a key player in automating the entire Sterling OMS application stack using Chef (http://chef.io). Systems built including, but not limited to are Sterling Web servers. Sterling Application and Integration clusters. These systems heavily rely on JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) and JBoss Web services. I was given the lead to design and build out our Chef toolset for Development, QC, and Production environments. Components built include an HA Chef Server cluster, Chef Analytics and Chef Compliance servers.I was lead on building out our RabbitMQ HA clusters including the automation of Bindings, Exchanges and Queues through the use of DataBags. I also was lead on designing and rolling our QC and production MuleSoft clusters, including the process for automatically deploy applications. I designed our Elasticsearch and Couchbase cluster cookbooks. I use several tools for testing, building and deploying Chef Cookbooks, including ChefDK, rubocop, Foodcritic, ChefSpec, and Atom. Languages used on a regularly basis include Ruby, Perl, and Bash. I also work and administer a variety of other tools including GitHub Enterprise, Embotics, Artifactory, Jenkins, AppDynamics, mPulse, Splunk, and Atlassian products, Jira and Confluence. We use Slack and Webex on daily basis.
