In this position I was responsible for working alongside the english professor to assist students with their learning in English. My specific role was to engage with the Japanese students to assure that they understood the tasks that was delegated to them as well as converse with them to assist in their proficiency, As a Japanese speaker, I was also responsible for offering the students translation assistance and helping them engage and understand the content better. Another responsibility that I held was to ensure that the classroom was set up correctly, turning on the smartboards and projectors. In this position, I was also responsible for providing feedback and grading for the students work. This included fixing spelling and grammar mistakes, sentence restructuring and presentation practice. This job also allowed me to provide a one-on-one private speaking practice and IELTS assistance for students undergoing the IELTS Examination.
