The Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) is a not-for-profit, member-based association promoting the effectiveness of Canadian directors and boards. The Ottawa chapter Executive Committee is a regional entity of the ICD approved by the ICD Board of Directors to serve as a local representative for the national organization. The chapter hosts monthly luncheons and other continuing education forums for directors to increase their knowledge and stay current.

Co-founded a travel recommendation website. Inspire2go provides personalized travel recommendations based on places that users have been and have liked. As a "discovery" site, the software provides cluster analysis of users and travel destinations to ensure a high probability that the user will be delighted with the recommendation.

Founded PubUpdate to assist businesses increase their customer loyalty through social media such as facebook and twitter. This new communication mechanism provides an opportunity for these businesses to more effectively promote events and specials. PubUpdate is a web application that provides automated scheduling of event and special updates to facebook fans and twitter followers. A study has shown that effective use of this technology can increase visit rates by 36% and spend rates by 33%.

As member of the Board of Advisors, provided strategic and operational business advice to the President and ownership group of WorldReach Software. WorldReach is the leading provider of consular management solutions. WorldReach offers an integrated set of tools (AssistReach, CrisisReach and PassportReach) to help fulfill a government's mandate to deliver assistance to citizens abroad.
