I have 30 years of experience using technology to create value in the marketplace. As an entrepreneur, CEO, Engineer and consultant/advisor, I have combined my leadership skills with a deep understanding of technology to develop businesses that maximize the value of that technology.I was the CEO of Mxi Technologies for 9 years, from its founding in 1996 to 2005, when I transitioned into the Chairman role, freeing me up for other startup opportunities and board/advisory roles. As the founding CEO of Mxi, I managed the growth of the company into the market leader in aviation maintenance management software. Mxi grew from 12 employees to over 300 and was ranked 21st out of the top 25 Canadian software companies (by Branham Group). We accomplished this through self financed growth of over 50% annually for the first 5 years and were profitable every year that I managed the company.I also have corporate governance experience from sitting on both for-profit and non-profit boards and committees. In 2005, I graduated from the ICD Directors Education Program at Rotman School of Management and am a Certified Director (ICD.D). I currently serve on the Management Committee for the Ottawa Branch of the ICD.
