Lead Production Planner
Current*Own, utilize, and refine capacity models for each cell and value stream.*Own, utilize, and refine previously developed capacity planning tools in concert with OperationsManagement.*Utilize capacity models and existing orders for quoting new order lead times.*Quote customer orders at established lead times to load manufacturing requirements to shopfloor, lead times will be periodically reviewed and published to key customers.*Work with Operations Management to perform capacity and resource planning for productioncells.*Support S&OP Planning. Perform Demonstrated Capacity analysis by value streamincluding comparison to theoretical capacities using Excel capacity models, shipmentsreports, customer order reports, forecasts, and production reports.*Perform Capacity Ramp assessments as we consider capital investments, and changes inmachine allocation and/or labor. Maintain ramp models quarterly plus as needed.*Issue monthly load schedule for all cells at beginning of month, identifying pull-ins as necessaryto achieve monthly business plan adder objective.*Update Customer Line-of-Balance assessments for weekly customer meetings. Gather andreport key qualitative data points from operations to support the assessment.*Issue a weekly “Late and Due” query of all customer order line items by cell. Status will bereviewed and updated by operations team leads and supervision.*Look for productivity wins across cells by identifying more efficient production paths for specificproducts.*Work closely with Engineering and Cell Supervision to optimize product flow.*Evaluate when machines will need orders, optimize equipment and labor, reduce changeoversand ensure line load is feasible.*Identify short and long-term manpower and work center constraints early.*Update shop floor schedule boards with customer order cards as necessary to load machines onthe floor.
