Guided large-scale projects related to organizational development, product line expansions, diversity, and learning and development initiatives.Spearheaded diversity and inclusion efforts with a focus on strengthening employee and student retention. Redesigned the college’s hiring and recruitment processes with emphasis on raising racial equity and inclusion. Prioritized learning and development as a key component of the organizational culture, and created a mentoring program to improve retention among male students of color. Helped drive strategic and product decisions, including flexible/integrated degree programs, overhaul of certain program curriculums, and creation of new course offerings. Established partnerships with local organizations to boost recruitment, diversity, and learning opportunities. Strengthened the overall brand identity to stand out as a premiere, multicultural institution within a highly saturated urban market.

Supported the college’s undergraduate English program to ensure that it met strategic and administrative benchmarks. Guided organizational development efforts, including a redesign of the internal review and quality control processes to ensure alignment with strategic plans. Managed and mentored teams of 15+ staff around quality assessment and participated in program reviews. Additionally involved in overall program management including curriculum redesign and budgetary oversight. Championed inclusion efforts supporting the LGBTQ community. Organized affinity groups for employees and students, advocated for gender-neutral bathrooms within campus facilities and encouraged inclusion of gender identity language into the school’s anti-discrimination policy. Served as a faculty sponsor for the gay-straight alliance and feminist alliance.

Developed summer learning programs (Upward Bound) to support prospective college students from underserved communities. Created course materials and led professional development training in multiple subject areas, including English Language, Politics, Feminism, Gender Studies, and Fine Arts. Succeeded in increasing the overall acceptance rate for first-generation Upward Bound high school seniors entering into the university.

Managed a team in running a youth development program for gifted college-bound students from underserved populations. Coordinated all aspects of PR, fundraising, marketing, and recruitment, while successfully growing program enrollment and scope.
