I had recontextualized my role at Western Waterworks Supply and Fab. to have an emphasis on programming. During this time, namely, I created a program which automates part of the process which the drafter must undergo after adding each pipe.Each pipe has something called property sets. These define real traits for these pipe such as the lining, coating, flange pull, etc. Property sets must be applied to a newly created pipe, and there are unique property sets for different object types such as flanges, elbows, pipe, etc. My program allows for one command in the command bar to automatically detect all objects in the drawing and apply the desired property sets based on their object type.This will greatly assist the drafting process by quickly applying property sets to the entire drawing.

Out of high school I worked part-time at Western Waterworks Supply and Fabrication. At the time I did both pipe drafting and data entry. Data entry involved keeping inventory, and managing out-going projects' status.I became a seasonal hire while attending college. I grew custom to the practices at the company and was able to help the drafting department complete sets of details. Details are snippets of pipe from the larger project, often including a small selection of pipe from flange-to-flange. These details are essential because it allows for the fabricators to have easy access to key dimensions to produce the pipe.
