Bradley L. Burt is President & CEO of Maid-Rite Corporation, which is a quick serve casual dining restaurant chain that is famous for its signature menu item, which is the Maid-Rite fresh ground beef sandwich that is served on a warm steamed bun. Mr. Burt, along with his wife, Tania M. Burt, who is the Executive Vice President of Maid-Rite, and their local investor group purchased Maid-Rite in 2002 and have reinvigorated and repositioned this iconic restaurant chain.Bradley Burt is a lifetime resident of the Greater Des Moines area having graduated from Waukee High School and subsequently graduated from Simpson College with a degree in Economics. Mr. Burt formerly was employed for 19 years as a Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending at Banker’s Trust Company in Des Moines Iowa. Among the other executive positions Mr. Burt held at Banker’s Trust, he was Credit Services Manager, Director of Marketing, Manager of the Trust Department and Director of Insurance and Investment Services. Some of Mr. Burt’s civic activities in Des Moines involved being Chairman of the Board for the Convalescent Home for Children, which is a 120 bed skilled and intermediate care facility for children. Mr. Burt served as the President of the Greater Pioneer Club in which he also currently treasurer of the Club. The Pioneer Club is comprised of individuals whose family history have lived in Des Moines for at least 80 years. Mr. Burt presently serves on the Marketing Institute Advisory Council of the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa that utilizes marketing professionals from throughout the United States to assist students in their professional careers. Mr. Burt considers it is an honor and privilege to help grow the Maid-Rite franchise founded in Muscatine, Iowa in 1926 into a nationwide restaurant chain that will always recognize its Iowa heritage of serving customers with friendly hometown hospitality.
