Project was dissolved due to funding and permitting issues. Project Controls Manager for an 800 mw combined cycle project (G machine), Project location is in Calgary, Ca. Project structure is a Joint Venture between Black and Veatch and Kiewit. The project budget was approximately 800 million.Project Analyst - SCPC 900mw Greenfield Texas. Project Structure was a Tri-Venture between Kiewit, Zacchary, & Black & Veatch 1.5B$. My job responsibilities were to conduct an internal audit on processes and verify status and develop corrective actions and forecasts for the project team. - I Consult for Black & Veatch on topics of Project Controls and long term planning for large complex projects. Clients consisted of Reliance (India) - installation of 3-6packs (3 power stations with 6 - 660 Mw boilers ea. project budget 14 billion, GenPower - I Performed audits on the Longview Power Generation project (WV) Schedule and commissioning plan 695Mw 2B$ budget. Eskom - is another client, I preformed an audit on their construction schedule Kusile / Bravo. The project is in South Africa and consists of 6 units by 780 Mw ea. all are supercritical boilers 17B$ .

2007 Project Controls Manager, AEP Conesville, SCR and Economizer Replacement. My responsibilities consisted of creating managing and implementing a set of controls that allowed Enerfab to measure both cost and schedule on an installation of a SCR on an 800 MW CE boiler as well as a complete economizer replacement. Conesville SCR's budget was $75,000,000. I had two direct employees and projected average man power is 120 men until the outage. The outage manpower projections are approximately 400 men. I also consult with other division managers to help implement strategies and best practices regarding project controls. I perform project analysis for litigation (Forensic Planning) and arbitration purposes for Enerfab, using primavera and document controls as my primary documentation disclosures.2006 Project Manager - Balanced Draft Conversion. Perform the installation of reinforcements to the Unit 1 Research Cottrell precipitator and associated duct work to structurally fortify the associated flue gas path to handle the new addition of I.D fans. I am responsible for a $35,000,000 budget and three subcontractors. Scope includes insulation, structural reinforcement and scaffold. Daily responsibilities include management of 3 subcontractors, management of a range of 50 to 300 direct hire craft personnel and 10 field administrative personnel (general supt., supt. admin, field engineers, and scheduler).

2005 - Project Controls Manager to manage project controls on our largest project, A SCR retrofit on two units at AEP, Mitchell Station. The scope includes creation of baseline schedules for steel erection, mechanical including duct and piping (i.e. feedwater retrofit, seal air replacement, compressed air for sonic horns, relocation of economizer vent stacks and the installation of a Urea to Ammonia conversion facility including all equipment setting and related piping), insulation & lagging, painting & startup and commissioning. I created matrices to measure Cost Performance Indexing, Schedule Performance Indexing and critical path impacts due to schedule changes. This schedule was approximately 21,000 activities that incorporated 24 contractors. I measured progress of all parties involved to cross reference progress billings from the respective contractors. Used cost to completion reports to forecast expenditures and labor costs. Used X-bar and R-bar charts to measure the projects variability and perform root cause analysis to identify problem area and implemented the standard kaizan problem solving processes (DMAIC - Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control)

I reviewed estimated construction project work hours and infrastructure. Measured and tracked progress and production of several projects simultaneously. Generated the RFQ's, shook out and standardized the subcontractors RFQ's.I wrote, and / or altered, reviewed, and approved construction contracts (primary or sub). The project was a great success and finished on time and significantly under budget.2003 Became more involved in Project Manager/Contract Manager roles, Negotiated superheat and reheat change outs at AEP, (1300mw) Amos station, (1,300mw) Mountaineer Station, and (800mw) Cardinal Station. These contract budgets were worth approximately 7,000,000 each. The Amos project was completed in 8 weeks (the shortest duration ever achieved for this particular project) there were 147 reheats and 146 superheats this was achieved by designing a rigging process that facilitated removal and installation at the same time.

I worked for the Vice President of Operations for the power division as a co-op through the University of Cincinnati. My duties included project scheduling and project estimation. I occasionally had the responsibility of being a field site supervisor on several small mechanical installation projects as well as a field engineer for various projects.

This position was in the power division. I supported Enerfab's first SCR installation at Cinergy, Miami Fort Station. Scope included duct work and precipitator modifications, approximate value $20,000,000. This project achieved a greater than expected profit margin and $1,200,000 in changes as well.
