I’m currently a software engineer for Walmart. I prefer developing products using the MVP technique because getting feedback from users ASAP is essential to product growth. I don’t like to get too comfortable, so I’m constantly looking for new challenges to help grow my team and improve our product.

Senior Software EngineerWalmart Global Tech Feb 2022 - May 2024Bentonville, Arkansas, Us• Built a CI/CD level system used to encourage teams to start their CI/CD journey. The system breaks down the CI/CD process into small chunks to give teams manageable goals. This helps teams from getting overwhelmed.• Built a tracker for over 135 projects to track CI/CD progress.• Led Bi-Weekly meetings for the entire org as well as individual teams covering various topics to help teams progress on their CI/CD journeys.• Currently building example projects for various tech stacks to give teams easy examples to follow for CI/CD. • Led a group of developers to build a new architecture and implement org level goals.• Designed a new architecture from the ground up. The architecture used a mini-app approach for the frontend and a GraphQL supergraph for the backend.• Fully implemented a CI/CD pipeline for “MyTech Graph” subgraphs. Time from PR merge to production was less than 30 minutes.• Led an effort to improve site accessibility. Partnered with Level Access (A 3rd party accessibility company) during the effort.• Mentored 10+ engineers. Also, I encouraged other developers on the team to lead design sessions to help them grow as leaders.• I worked to grow the developers I lead by challenging them to lead POCs and side projects.• I established team standards (Coding, Agile, Testing) using feedback from the team.• Designed architecture for point of interest features allowing users of Guide to interact with the points of interest around them. • Implemented a metadata pattern to onboard new points of interest. This allows my team to onboard without massive code changes.• Worked with Inpixon (3rd party mapping solution) to make changes to their SDK to support our use cases. -
Software Engineer 3Walmart Global Tech Jan 2021 - Feb 2022Bentonville, Arkansas, Us• I led a testing effort that increased Guide's code coverage from 0% to an average of ~60% across all our repositories in less than a year. • Expanded Guide to work outside the United States.• Designed technical solutions with our India tech team to enable Guide for associates in India. • Made key architecture decisions to allow Guide to expand to India and beyond.• In less than two weeks I led a successful effort to design, implement, test, and deploy a feature for users to see the COVID risk levels for local facilities.• I'm the point of contact for designers, strategic technical partners, and leadership to understand the technical feasibility of a feature.• I lead a bi-weekly series called "Tech Bytes". The series allows developers to present a topic they are passionate about in an informal ten-minute presentation. The idea behind the series was to tear down walls between product teams and get developers sharing. -
