    CNC machinist promoted to Quality Inspector.Most of my time at AMM I worked in the quality department.After several months working in the machine shop and due to a need for another inspector I was promoted to the quality department with no prior experience.In the quality department I inspected parts worth thousands of dollars with some tolerances on the parts of up to +/-.0001".Most parts had 10 or more machine operations and were mainly made of AlBeMet and Aluminum.AlBeMet is a very expensive and TOXIC aerospace alloy. Due to being toxic the shop environment is highly controlled and operators must wear coveralls and wear a battery operated HEPA filter.
