Brad Hicks manages people operations in the CFPB’s Office of Technology and Innovation. He joined the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in 2012 as a project manager standing up new Operations Division functions and supporting the Bureau’s policy committee and debt collection working group. He later served as Special Assistant to the Chief Administrator establishing the CFPB Library and sustainability programs like the CFPB Green Team. Since 2016, Brad has led the CIO’s staffing strategy, training and award programs, and people initiatives. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and currently leads the office’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access (DEI&A) working group. Before joining the Bureau, Brad spent a decade in the executive offices of two DC mayors and managed stimulus funds for affordable housing and community development. He holds degrees from George Washington University and the University of Georgia and lives by Meridian Hill Park in Washington, DC, with his husband and pandemic puppy, a three-year old Aussiedoodle.
