Internal and external facing websites and webservices use PHP and Javascript served up by Apache running on a Linux.Work was done to port the ETL processes over to Streamsets using Elasticsearch.

New marketing features were also integrated with jQuery and CSS.A mobile website was built on the framework of the current site. Created an international automotive dealer-to-dealer website. Apache was used as the application server. Perl was the scripting language for application development and Oracle was used as the database. Template Toolkit was used as the template engine for dynamic content.The team used Agile / Scrum software development methodology and implemented a Continuous Delivery process. I was involved in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from the inception to the final decommissioning, including several full restructures of the site.Scripts were written to import new XML sale feeds, apply the business rules, and store the sale and vehicle data in the database.An auction engine package was developed in PL/SQL using Oracle's advanced queues. AJAX was used to handle bidding and updates in the browser for a polished user experience. The AJAX calls were routed via Perl scripts to the auction engine package in the database where the bid event was processed and the results sent back.Web services were built using both REST and SOAP to allow for access and updates to live data. SOAP clients were also created to update vendors in real time with the sold status of their vehicles.

Expanded the current line of financial offerings available on the ProAct Technologies web site by adding new products. Existing financial products were enhanced with new feature sets. Product providers were coordinated to establish required customer information and define secure electronic data transfer requirements.The system used Sun OS servers and was written in C++. Back-end processing used C++, Korn Shell, and Perl to access the Oracle database and capture data retrieved from third-party providers.

Designed and implemented an object-oriented production and inventory tracking system. Data was gathered from production control managers and used to develop work-flow specifications for the system. I led a small team of contract and in-house developers to complete this very successful project. The system generated production control labels at various stations using Zebra printers. The system was based on a scalable station/container model with routes defining the path of a particular product through the production cycle.The system used Oracle to store the main applications data and financial information was updated to a J.D. Edwards system via an IBM DataJoiner (DB2) connection. Each station utilized Windows NT running a station-specific front-end application written in Microsoft Visual C++.

Reservation agents accessed the system Oracle Forms. Hotels are able to manage rooms and advertising by running specialized client software written in Visual C++ in a Windows NT environment. The system uses Tuxedo to manage the transactions and guarantee delivery of reservations.

Captured, optimized, and automated the business processes necessary to evaluate card applications and issue cards to customers. The resulting system reduced a cycle time of weeks to less than a day. Primarily responsible for developing object-oriented designs and software components necessary to implement this system. Made use of a variety of object-oriented tools and development environments, including C++, Smalltalk, and Rogue Wave class libraries.

Ported and enhanced an intelligent database management facility for DB2/6000, utilizing the REXX and C programming languages, the SQL query language, and the OS/2 2.0 and AIX operating systems. The tool verified the validity of the database, provided for the automatic recovery of corrupted data, and generated report files indicating any problems encountered. C++ was investigated and used for some prototyping.

This system was intended to automate many of the repetitive tasks associated with source code management, and to keep track of many aspects of software product development, such as code revision levels, code changes, and problem tracking. Assisted in maintaining the automated testing environment, writing new tests, verifying problem fixes, and regression testing in a VM environment. Other responsibilities included the set up and maintenance of an OS/2 LAN Manager environment. Tasks in this area consisted of day to day system administration and problem detection and solution.

Responsible for making enhancements to, and fixing problems in an existing LAN management product based on the OS/2 Presentation Manager. The product used a graphical representation of LANs (using Presentation Manager) which included workstations, servers, hosts, and bridges between physically separate LANs. Local status, host connection status, and alert status were displayed in windows. The OS/2 Database Manger was used to keep the information and configuration of each LAN.
