Internal and external facing websites and webservices use PHP and Javascript served up by Apache running on a Linux.Work was done to port the ETL processes over to Streamsets using Elasticsearch.

AJAX was used to handle bidding and updates in the browser for a polished user experience. The AJAX calls were routed via Perl scripts to the auction engine package in the database where the bid event was processed and the results sent back.Web services were built using both REST and SOAP to allow for access and updates to live data. SOAP clients were also created to update vendors in real time with the sold status of their vehicles.
