GVAP Overview: This is a condensed version, but enough so you get the idea. Do this at the beginning of every call, internal or external and it will set you and your customer up for success. GVAP should be part of everyone's day. It's how we make sure that meetings with prospects, clients, partners, and investors move the ball on every call. The key thing here is the simple discipline achieves two outcomes: 1) It makes us stop and ask “what forward progress do we want in this conversation.” So many times we all get into a conversation without really knowing what we want out of it. Let’s know before we even start “What will move the ball in this account by 3 yards”. 2) It makes us stop and focus on what’s valuable to the client. It’s so easy to bypass that simple thing that delights customers. 1. Goal (begin with the end in mind)2. Value: This is not the value or ROI of your product/software. This is the value, to your customer, of this call.... literally of the next 30-60 minutes together.3. Agenda: How are we going to get there 4. Permission to Proceed: This is a crucial step. This is where you get the truth. Do not skip it.Pause for a moment to ask the other participants if the Value and Agenda work for them. Do they want to change the agenda or the meeting purpose? Ask and edit as appropriate.
