I graduated in July of 2011 from Southern Polytechnic State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology. I also passed my FE exam in April of 2011 and I am a registered EIT.Since graduating, I have worked with CH2M Hill full time on a variety of water/wastewater projects including:• Construction of industrial water treatment plant for a coal mine.• Sanitary sewer system rehabilitation project.• Multiple wastewater reclamation facility upgrade projects.• Multiple water treatment plant improvements projects.• Multiple stream restoration projects• Pump station and pump design projects.Over the past four years, I have been able to acquire a wide range of skills and experience related to project engineering and construction management. Some of these skills include:• Track and answer RFI’s.• Track and review submittals.• Develop and maintain record drawings with current drawings and as built information.• Inspect and oversee construction activities for conformance with specifications and drawings. • Assist in developing an asset management database.• Develop meeting agendas and meeting minutes.• Review construction schedules and monthly payment applications from contractors.• Draft RFCP’s and Change Orders.• Maintain a good working relationship between the client, contractor and the engineer.• Resolve design/construction conflicts and issues that occur on-site.• Develop project punch lists and assist in project closeout.• Maintain a safe work environment for myself and others.These skills I have learned on-the-job combine well with my college skills in the areas of water/wastewater design, construction materials testing and surveying to make me a well-rounded and versatile engineer.Overall, I am hardworking and motivated individual who has a wide range of experiences. I pick up new skills quickly, I work well by myself or with others, and I can adapt to whatever work environment in which I am placed.
