Underwent three months of training in order to become proficient in microbiological laboratory procedures, basic pedagogy, and classroom management. Laboratory experiments included Kirby Bauer, bacteriophage killing assay, and transformation.Met daily with assigned faculty members to plan lessons and discuss lecture content for each lab. Was responsible for leading discussions on the relevance and context of assigned experiments, and the reviewing of associated protocols.

Elected by the former Director of the Bard College Chemistry department, Dr. Craig Anderson, to assist in his research on the regioselective synthesis of seven-membered, six-membered, and five-membered cyclometalated platinum complexes. Collaborated with Dr. Anderson and other student researchers when synthesizing and analyzing the platinum complexes. Was responsible for testing and reacting chemical ligands with platinum, which regularly involved using rotary evaporators, reflux condensers, and syringe pumps. Findings from research were presented at the 2015 American Chemical Society Conference in Boston, MA.

Collaborated with other employees on both software and hardware projects to create more effective automotive safety sensors. Installed and tested radar and LIDAR sensors in test vehicles. Analyzed resulting test data in order to determine the accuracy of the measuring tools and the validity of the collected data. Problem solved and collaborated with engineering mentors to determine sources of error/improvements needed in testing methodology. This collected data aided in the development of a safer product for consumers.
