View some samples with explanation in the images posted below.Line Loss Analysis: Worked with a client to develop a pioneering solution that will enable them to better understand and identify power loss across their distribution system with a long-term savings potential of millions of dollars. Data from several different systems in various formats is processed and aggregated with the results presented in a Tableau dashboard. Prototyping for this model largely took place in Python utilizing data libraries such as pandas, numpy, and dask. The production version of the line loss application is implemented in Java with feature development ongoing.PIDdy: We needed a way to match metering locations with parcel data, so that we could analyze power consumption against housing characteristics. PIDdy is a Python script that downloads meter location data from Snowflake and parcel boundary shapefiles from our vendor, and then turns both data sets into geodataframes for a spatial join (meter point inside of parcel polygon). The finished reference data set is then loaded back up into our Snowflake instance.Tableau Server Upgrade Automation: Built a Python script to enable the automatic upgrade of a client server from Tableau Server 10.5 to 2019.2. This was a major jump for us due to the Tableau Server backends completely changing between those versions.BlastIQ: A small, easily configurable Python application that exports and emails Tableau dashboards and views outside of the normal Tableau Server subscription system.Presentations: Always on tap to give one or more presentations on data analytics at the ReportIQ and SEDC UCs.

Member of a small team that managed Futura’s Outage Management System for 60+ clients across the country with duties including software implementation, training, software development, reporting, and customer support.Sample Projects:FuturaCopy: A Python module using arcpy to export enterprise GIS data from an ArcGIS SDE database to different geodatabase formats and configurations as required by Futura's software. FuturaCopy successfully replaced a slow, unreliable, and hard-to-configure predecessor.Outage Alerts: A proof-of-concept Python module that ran alongside the OMS Model application and alerted utility staff of outages that met configured thresholds. Staff could receive messages through text or email and with content customizable through templates and database views.OMS Client Installer: A Python-based Windows executable that automated a complex, multi-step process for installing the OMS Client application. Enabled customers more independence and cut down on support calls.

Performed various tasks in the GIS Specialist role including geospatial data analysis, data migration, system administration, cartography, and surveying for multiple government departments. Sample Projects:Enterprise GIS Migration: Key player on a team that managed the migration of Fulton County’s antiquated GIS server architecture over to a more modern ESRI ArcGIS Server-based system. This involved diagramming and scripting data flow between editing and production servers and building ArcServer web services for internal and external consumption. This effort resulted in an ESRI SAG award in 2012.Cityworks Implementation: Led efforts to implement the new Azteca Cityworks software platform for several Fulton County departments who were previously using outdated asset management systems. Responsibilities on this project entailed SQL Server database administration, data migration, user interface customization, and customer support.Traffic Sign Inventory: Headed a survey project to inventory and inspect traffic signs maintained by Fulton County for conformity to federal MUTCD standards. Roles involved design of the geodatabase , ArcPad forms, and field survey workflow in addition to managing the day-to-day operations of survey teams and developing data transfer/publishing scripts and a data QA application in Python.Building Footprints: Developed a Python script to convert building footprints stored as formatted text in the tax assessment database to polygons stored in a geodatabase and centered on the correct parcel. This saved hundreds of hours of work trying to hand-digitize from text or imagery and made the output features much more accurate.

Garnered a Weekend Award for quality of work and a willingness to work odd hours with staff halfway across the world.New Jersey Water Management Plans: Utilized the CommunityViz ArcGIS add-on and Python to perform environmental and zoning based buildout analyses on undeveloped and redevelopable parcels in several counties in New Jersey.Georgia EPD State Water Plan: Gathered data and performed analyses that led to a water budget for planning districts in the state of Georgia. Additionally produced data-rich, poster-sized maps for public meetings. Awarded Atlanta Office Worker of the Month for efforts on this project.Western Wake County, NC: Provided GIS analysis and cartographic support for a project in western Wake County involving the siting and environmental impact statement for a new wastewater reclamation facility and pipelines. Received a Weekend Award for work quality and attention to deadlines.Agency Vulnerability Study: Aggregated various water, soil, and topographical data to produce a zip code based input-water scoring system for a large industrial client.
