About Brad Mccormack

Brad Mccormack is a Developer Experience Engineer at Accelo. He possess expertise in software development, c#, php, linux, web development and 39 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "Brad's one of those colleagues during my career who I am lucky to say I built a solid working relationship with as well as a great friendship. In fact, I was in the fortunate place to have reviewed his resume and recommended he come in for an interview at IQ Multimedia - knowing how hard it is to hire great engineers, Brad's one of the greatest hires I've played a part in to date. When I went back to On Tech, Brad was the first engineer I called when we had a position open up and the company has benefited from his addition since. If he was interested in working overseas, there's no question he'd do well here in Amazon's environment, at least in my opinion, and I've already recommended him - but he's not that keen on the move. He has a great approach to work and the challenges presented. I should know, I've been responsible for throwing him in the deep end quite a few times when it came to technologies he wasn't familiar with and dealing with problems well outside the bounds of his experience at the time. Based on my time working with him on the Cochlear project at IQ, and later working on the Ezimerchant ecommerce platform at On Tech, Brad continually demonstrated that he was up to the task and proved my confidence and faith in his ability to understand the problem and come up with practical solutions - without complicating or over-engineering. Brad is passionate about technology and computer science and it shows. He is always experimenting and keeping up to speed on the latest break throughs and this is a benefit to the work place as he constantly looks for ways he can apply that knowledge in his work environment in a practical fashion. It was always enjoyable to sit down on break, and even catch up on Skype in the evenings after work to talk about new approaches. We still regularly catch up to chat and share interesting blogs and articles to date. If I ever make my way back to Australia, or Brad changes his mind about working overseas, I'd look forward to the opportunity to work with him again. After his time working with the team at On Tech, and his own efforts to further his experience, he's an engineer with a versatile skillset exposed to technology on a broad and also deep level. Brad would do well in any environment, particularly one with unique challenges and that presents further opportunities for him to grow. He's a strong engineer and would be a great addition to a team where he would be able to lead and mentor others that may be less experienced. I hope to work again with him in the future and I follow his future career with interest." and "Brad is a skilled and reliable engineer. I had the pleasure of working with him during his time at iQmultimedia/Studio IQ and could always rely on him to take on the work assigned to him with vigor and passion. Brad takes the initiative and can quickly pick-up on the main goals of a project even through an informal discussion. Brad is then able to apply these goals to his work, making sure that he avoids the traps of poor code and over architecting the solution, as well as meeting the time and scope constraints. I would gladly work with Brad on any project and highly recommend him as a consistently reliable, passionate and high performing member of my project team."

Listed skills include Software Development, C#, Php, Linux, and 40 others.
