MEET BRAD ►As Managing Director of Operation Orphan, I care passionately about improving the quality of life of orphans and vulnerable children across the globe. From local UK projects like Forget Me Notts, to projects across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Caribbean we aim to develop a substantial resource of finance, products and professional skills to improve the quality of life for the children we support. I am privileged to lead an amazing team and work with incredible volunteers who donate their time, talents and treasure to help us.OUR VISION ►To improve the quality of life for orphans and vulnerable children in a holistic, culturally relevant and sustainable way. OUR STORY ► It began after a trip to Uganda in 2003, where we dreamed of establishing a charity that would help children who have lived through the horror of being orphaned. We wanted to address key donor complaints such as what percentage of a £ actually impacts the children's care structure and how much of donor funds are spent on charity overheads. After many years carrying this vision, the charity came to life in Feb 2010 following a key conversation with friends who agreed to underwrite all UK administration costs meaning every penny is spent on strengthening the care structure of thousands of children. DISASTER RELIEF ► Where children are orphaned through a sudden disaster, natural or man-made, we will do all we can to ensure these children are identified, supported and connected to a safe and loving care structure.
