I serve as the video coordinator for the department, which includes the shooting, editing and producing features, hype videos and highlight packages that are posted to the department’s website and social media platforms. Additionally, I coordinate the department’s efforts with NKU Media Services in the live broadcast of home events on ESPN3 and ESPN+.I currently serve in leadership roles with the department and the Horizon League, including being appointed as the department's Horizon League Messaging Cabinet representative and volunteered to take on the role of Horizon League video coordinator peer group chairman. On the Messaging Cabinet, I work with other member school representatives in vetting and making recommendations concerning television, digital/social and video streaming matter and oversee Horizon League messaging and branding initiatives. As the Horizon League video coordinator peer group chairman, I assist the League communications staff in developing best practices/ideas, at times lead group discussions with fellow League video coordinators and represent fellow League coordinators in discussions with the League communication staff and executive leadership. While there I had to opportunity to work with the American Athletic Conference in its digital media efforts, serving as coordinating field producer for the American Digital Network and Live U’s pre-game and post-game live video coverage of the 2014 American Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Championship. I also assisted the department in the hosting of major tournaments, including the 2014 American Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Championship and 2014 NCAA Men’s Basketball South Regional and the 2011 NCAA Women's Soccer Championship First and Second Round. I assisted professors and instructors in the department of health and sport sciences in research projects. I was the afforded the opportunity to do the the initial research and data analysis for Dr. Yuhei Inoue and Dr. Cody T Havard on their sport and disaster relief project which was later published as an journal article in Disaster Prevention and Management: An International Journal as Sport and disaster relief: a content study (2015), for which I received an acknowledgment in the initial… Show more I assisted professors and instructors in the department of health and sport sciences in research projects.
