Supervising all web portals and social media outlets across the entire health system while maintaining compliance with overall system regulations and branding. Additional responsibilities producing in-house videos of surgeries, events, and special features. Also responsible for creating and distributing internal communication messaging. Great River Health Systems is a 378 bed regional medical center offering acute, skilled and intermediate care to residents of southeast Iowa, west-central Illinois and northeast Missouri.

As a consultant, I helped non-profits develop communications strategy, promote events, write press releases and produce creative videos.

Developed ongoing campaign strategies and created marketing/promotional materials for $135 million Vehicle Services Group consisting of three subsidiaries: Speedco Lube and Tire, Truck PM Plus, and MaintenanceIO. Created written copy for press releases, executive memos, speeches, and scripts and implemented marketing communications campaigns, overseeing production and maintaining identity among all Bandag brands. Interacted with senior group management to develop appropriate budgets and produced presentation tools for the sales force. Assisted with planning, set-up and operation of trade shows, coordinating efforts with in-house design team and external vendors.

Developed ongoing marketing campaigns for four distinct product lines, including management of all visual communication elements for the North American arm of this global RV supplier. Responsible for approx. $1 million annual marketing budget and managed two fulfillment center staff members. Oversaw the company’s Public Relations program, developing merger/acquisition communications for three events. Collaborated with ad agencies as necessary to accomplish marketing goals.

Developed and ran the in-house video production arm of Ash Advertising. Print Copy Writer for RV and marine catalogs. PR duties for same. Researched and purchased video production gear. Prospected for projects, wrote, shot and edited corporate videos. Assisted with trade show organization for a variety of clients.

Directed a staff of up to twelve people for two live shows each night, plus other live-to-tape shows. Promoted from Audio Tech to Assistant Director to Director within three years. Increased efficiency and employee morale by cross-training tech crew. Presiding director, technical switcher, graphics producer for over 3,000 live news shows. Developed, designed, shot and edited commercial TV spots from scratch. Created news graphics, organized staff, previewed scripts, called all camera shots, switched all video in a fast-paced, high stress environment. Directed in-studio and on-location productions.
