I have been a part of the First Priority of America team since January of 2008. I started in 2008 by helping develop the local chapter of First Priority in Sioux Falls and launching a new chapter in the surrounding communities. By 2011 my responsibilities shifted to the national office enough to require a move to Nashville, TN, so I could devote full-time effort to the national movement without being away from family. My favorite part of working with First Priority of America is putting together teams that work together to accomplish goals. For example, I get to work with a team of FP leadership who write, edit, and publish guides annually for student leaders of First Priority clubs. The mix of students, adult volunteers, and FP directors who have volunteered on this team has been fun to collaborate with. This similar excitement for me is also true as I work with the financial, HR, marketing, technology, systems and communications, podcast, events, and resources aspects of First Priority of America. Needless to say that I enjoy my job both for the purpose it fulfills in this world as well as the team and responsibilities I get to oversee.
