As founder and owner, I definitively established Taco Zone as an iconic restaurant in Downtown Lawrence, KS. with the goal of providing an affordable meal, using high quality ingredients and providing excellent customer service. I built my business from the ground up, implementing efficient systems and procedures to ensure our success. My motivation through it all was to provide something special for our community, and the best way for me to judge the job I was doing was to look at our customer's smiling faces. Owning a restaurant is not for everyone, but the amount of work, care and determination it took has taught me the value in facing a challenge head on and to never stop until you are moving towards where you want to go. When I sold the business for profit, It was passed along seamlessly and within a one month time frame. It continues to operate today with owners that share the same philosophy in business.

My responsibilities included managing/scheduling 20+ employees weekly as an acting GM for the Replay Lounge and Jackpot Music Hall, maintaining sales goals through unique events and performances, creating/executing an economical marketing plan by utilizing a variety of media outlets, overseeing/fulfilling the contracts of national and international touring bands, booking successful music festivals involving multiple locations, sponsors, and live acts, conducting payroll using QuickBooks Pro, and reporting daily to the owner regarding, sales, employee performance, accounts payable/receivable, and most importantly, discussing all ideas and plans for continuing success.
